Jet Skiing Barrio Barretto Subic Bay

Class 2 Philippine Jet Skiing Destination

Jet Skiing from Barrio Barretto, located in the northwest corner of Subic Bay, is less restricted than jet skiing from the adjacent area of Subic Bay Freeport. Barretto's popular Baloy Beach, with its close proximity to some of the Bay's more interesting islands, makes Barrio Barretto the most popular location around Subic Bay to rent a jet ski.

The only real restriction for jet skis here governs the departure and return points to Barrio Barretto Beach and Baloy Beach. All beaches have a designated passage for departing and returning jet skis such that swimmers and other water sports enthusiasts can carry on safely.

Jet Skiing Locations Around Barrio Barretto

From Barrio Barretto beaches or Baloy Beach you can take the short ride out to the charming folly of White Castle Island - it was designed as the ultimate secluded island resort in Subic Bay for glamping but never really caught on . . . it may still catch on one day. Ride a dozen hundred metres more and you can visit Snake Island (northwest) or Parola / Mayanga Island (southwest) and then maybe hop off and go snorkeling.

For the adventurous jet skiing enthusiast a trip directly South from Barrio Barretto Beach or Baloy Beach will take you to the beaches to the either side of the entrance to Subic Bay (about six nautical miles distant). South of Subic Bay, the seaside town of Morong has a number of interesting beaches where to come ashore and visit beach resorts for lunch. To the North there are a couple of small, relatively sheltered bays with almost uninhabited beaches, such as the pretty Silanguin Cove - the beach at Silanguin Cove is a great place for a picnic lunch and a relaxing swim out from the white sand beach.

After a long jet ski ride you will probably want to tie up at one of the floating bars, moored off Barrio Barretto and Baloy Beach during the amihan season - November through May. Caution: some floating bars feature adult-only entertainment.
